It appears the DB schema (specifically the table dbo.UserProfile) will allow duplicate profile values. There is and index (IX_UserProfile_UserID_PropertyDefinitionID) on the 2 columns UserID and PropertyDefinitionID as one might expect but it is NOT unique. What I'm I missing?
If there is a better forum to post this question please suggest, thx.

not sure - it would seem to be because the same user can exist in different portal's, but as property's are defined at the portal level that's pointless .Feel free to log it as a bug to support.dnnsoftware.com

I assume, in theory a property could assemble multiple values like "associations, you are member of".
However, there is no current core control for any of it and IMHO this is an area to Review for future improvement - although just modifying the unique index might break 3rd Party modules for user Profile management.

I agree, but in looking at the API's I don't think it is possible for anything to violate this constraint currently

Mitchel, in this case, I suggest modifying the index to prevent duplicate values.
