Hi all,

I've been running 7.2.2 for a while and began testing to upgrade to 7.3.4.

For the HTML editor, I use the default DNN RadEditor.   Based off information, I found from Mitch Sellers (http://mitchelsellers.com/blogs/2012/06/26/taking-control-of-the-dotnetnuke-wysiwyg-editor.aspx) and this article (http://www.chord9.co.uk/pdfs/dotnetnukeradeditorprovider.pdf), I was able to modify the RAD Editor configuration for Registered Users  so they see a different editor settings, toolbars and CSS file than Admins do.

This has been  working fine on 7.2.2.  However, when I upgraded 7.2.2 to 7.3.4, that custom Users profile was deleted.   Following the same steps as before I recreated the profile.  I can see the profile and the changes I made, however, if I log in as a Registered User,  the customizations I created aren't displayed as they were in 7.2.2.

I've tried binding my changes to the whole installation as well as a single portal, but no luck.   After saving changes, I made sure I cleared cache, restarted the Application, re-logged in, etc.  to make sure old settings weren't cached.  I've also verified under Extensions/Providers that RADEditor Manager has upgraded to 7.3.4

Does anyone know if this is a bug with the RAD Editor and more importantly how to fix it?    I can't upgrade until I can resolve this issue.

Thanks,

Chris

There will be most likely no more fixes for RadEditor, as DNN is switching to CkEditor. You may download it for free from http://dnnckeditor.codeplex.com.

Hi Sebastian,

Thanks for the reply.  I didn't realize that DNN was moving back to the CKEditor as the default.   Thanks for pointing that out.  I'll try that.

Chris
