A website I build originally in 6.2.4 and upgraded successfully to 7.0.6 has now seemed to have been broken beyond repair. The upgrade to 7.4.0 went smoothly on the surface. Now I cannot enter edit mode on any page and no dropdownlists work anywhere in the site. I have added the line

 "    <modules runAllManagedModulesForAllRequests="true"> " to the web config as I found in one post. I added     <handlers>
       <remove name="ExtensionlessUrl-Integrated-4.0"/>
       <remove name=" ExtensionlessUrl-ISAPI-4.0_32bit "/>
    </handlers>

As suggested in another post. I manually changed Control bar to RibbonBar via SQL 2012 Management studio as advised in another post. Nothing has worked. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

check host Settings, if you are using combined files, uncheck this Option.
Also, click upgrade resource version

Hi Sebastian,
The combined files was already set to false so that wasn't it. I didn't find a setting for upgrade resource version. When I search on the word upgrade, the choices are:
Check For Upgrades? (which is checked)
Upgrade Available? (blank since I just upgraded)
Require SSL for Upgrade wizard (unchecked)
View Upgrade Log For Version: (set to 01.00.00)

For the word resource I have the following choices:
Client Resource Management (a category heading

For the word version I have:
Version: (07.04.00 (353))
Installed jQuery Version (1.9.1)
Installed jQuery UI Version (1.10.3)
Current Host Version (88) (not sure what Increment version does)
View Upgrade Log For Version: 01.00.00

Any of those have to do with it?

BTW, I tried this in Chrome, FireFox, and IE 11 through 8. Clear Cache, on all of them. It does not seem to be browser related.
I also did the obvious things like recycled Application pool and cleared cache.
