I have a restaurant site running DNN 7.2. ( http://aegean-breeze.com)

I am trying to put a Tripadvisor widget (Generated by the Tripadvisor website) on the page.  I have placed the code in an Text/HTML module using the  HTML tab (and using the "basic text box") selection.   When the page is rendered, much of the HTML is missing and the link goes to the tripadvisor home page instead of to reviews specifically for this restaurant.

I am not sure why this is happening or  how to fix it.  has anyone else managed to put a Tripadvisor widget on a DNN page?

Place tye script in the header section of the html module. Go to module settings of the html module and paste the complete script in the header settings.

It is because javascript is stripped in html module when you paste it.

Just to finish out this thread. Putting the javascript in the header did not work.  i tried it in both the page header and the module header.  Except for future reference, this is no longer an issue for me.  Thanks for responding.

Hi. I ran into a similar problem trying to get a TripAdvisor widget to work on a DNN 7.2.1 site. Disabling the WYSIWYG feature in the editor didn't work, nor did pasting the script into the module header or footer.

In my case, the problem turned out to be due to the fact this site was using HTTPS instead of HTTP. To solve the problem I used the solution that was posted for WordPress here:
https://thechamplord.wordpress.com/20...

This required dropping the jscache.com link in favor of the tripadvisor.com link, and then changing all HTTP references to HTTPS.

If you want to see the working TripAdvisor widget on DNN, it's on this page:
https://www.flynnsonveniceave.com/

I burned up a few hours getting this issue resolved. Hopefully this will save someone else some time.

Yeah, it's an old thread, but I ran into the issue again.

To solve it this time, I pasted the TripAdvisor script into the module footer (not header), and it worked.
