Respected Sir/Mam,

We have API Controller with endpoints under /api/* and /ui/*

When DNN loads, its handler does not recognize /api and /ui therefore our applications are not accessible.

We have tried to use a URL rewrite rule in IIS to ensure that /api and /ui are handled by our API Controller running on a different site on the IIS server however we need to make sure that DNN does not interfere.

We need a build of the site that does not interfere with our /ui and /api API Controller

We need to run two websites on a single domain under the same IIS server one is in DNN and another is in MVC.

Can we configure both website in single domain?

Please help to resolve this issue.

Regards,

Sourabh S. Malani

what version of DNN, and what friendlyurl provider (http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/page/...) are you running? If it's the advanced one you can configure items to ignore (http://dnnurlmanagement.codeplex.com/ will help) -note: our service framework requests within DNN use the format ~/DesktopModules//API/ so you'll not be able to ignore those I'm afraid

This is problematic.  Essentially you want to run two applications for the one domain.  Theoretically it might be possible by using a virtual directory but it's not advisable or supported.

You would be better off building your API within DNN and leveraging all the permissions/security benefits of that.
