Yesterday I went to the DNN forums page and got an "A critical error has occurred..". Refreshed the page later and got the same error. This morning I refreshed the page and got the same error. I wondered how long is it going to take them (dnnsoftware) to fix the problem. Then I peeked at the URL and it hit me and I went duh.. arrgghh!! I fell for it again!  :( It's the error page url and it will always show the error message. In my asp.net apps, I handle all exceptions manually and show the error message on the same page without forwarding. I wonder now if DNN or the forum module doesn't have enough exception handling. I know this is an ASP.NET feature for unhandled exceptions and not a DNN's issue in particular but it bugs me when it happens.

some Errors are passed in the URL and if you hit refresh, you will always get this error message displayed.

We were doing some work on dnnsoftware.com (profiling for performance) and that causes a few issues - when you have an issue in forums, it will load the page but put the exception details into the url as a parameter (as Sebastian says) - therefore reloading the page loads the parameter and redisplays the issue.
