I just released a new Version of Turbo Scripts for DNN. They further improve Performance and already implement a couple of fixes from 7.4.1.

Download now for free from https://dnnscript.codeplex.com (please take the time to review instructions included) and enjoy!

Hi Sebastian, though I do not use your script on my production site I tried it on a copy of that site that I run locally. The initial installation was 7.3.4 upgraded to 7.4. Today I tried your script but after doing so I was no longer able to login to my site. When I enter the credentials and click the 'Login' button that button turns grey and nothing happens. As soon as I restore my database everything is OK again.

BTW, I do not understand this from your readme:

If upgrading to DNN 7.4.0, please replace /providers/dataproviders/sqldataprovider/07.04.00.sqldataprovider file with the one enclosed, after unzipping the files from DNN upgrade package (there are issues in original package, which conflict with constraints added by TurboDNN.".................

As I wrote I already upgraded to 7.4 sometime ago....

Hi Mariette,
there is a fixed 07.04.00.sqldataprovider file included, because the default one breaks an index and issues an error (which will be fixed by re-applying TurboDNN afterwards. There should be no Problem if you install TurboDNN for the first time.

I am sorry that you experienced an issue using TurboDNN. Would you mind to answer a few questions:
1. Which scripts did you apply and in which order?
2. Did you Encounter any Errors, when running the script, are you able to provide me with the error message?
3. is there anything special in your DNN - are you using plain DNN platform or running it on azure, in site Group or Special authentication Options?

Thanks for your Support,
Sebastian

Hello Sebastian,

The first time I ran the script I did this:

1. DNN was on version 7.4.0
2. I ran TurboDNN740
3. I ran TurboSchema740

That was it and I could no longer login. Then I restored the database to pre Turbo scripts and did this:

1. DNN is on version 7.4.0
2. I copied your 07.04.00.SqlDataProvider to the providers folder and replaced the 'DNN' version
4. I ran TurboDNN740
4. I ran TurboSchema740

Same problem, the login button turns grey and nothing happens...

Hi Mariette,
replacing a sqldataprovider file will have no effect, except during DNN upgrade from before this version.
I checked with my test sites and was unable to reproduce the issue. Did you encounter any errors, when running the upgrade? have you been able to check vw_eventlog in the database for associated items being logged. Sorry, It is hard to identify without further details. You may contact me privately, if there are details, you'd like not to share publically.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold
