DNN 7.3.4

Where are "search results" stored by the site crawler?

What is the difference between Admin, Search Admin, Reindex and forcing the site crawler scheduled task to run?

---------

I have something showing up in search results that has been deleted from the site, and I can't get it to disappear from search results.

Is there a way to completely blow away the search results and start from a clean slate?

search results are stored by Lucene search engine in files inside /app_data/search - delete the files inside the folder and re-index the site will omit all orphaned entries.
there should be a description in DNN admin guide.

I get: Error: Unable to remove file //httpdocs/App_Data/Search/_1kud.fdt: Sharing violation

(and for all other files in the folder)

you might need to restart DNN just before (it usually takes a minute for the scheduler to start).
