Greetings, I've been trying to move my DNN installation to my production server and I'm encountering the following error:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

at DotNetNuke.Entities.Portals.PortalSettingsController.ConfigureActiveTab(PortalSettings portalSettings)
at DotNetNuke.Framework.DefaultPage.InitializePage()
at DotNetNuke.Framework.DefaultPage.OnInit(EventArgs e)
at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer)
at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)

My connectionstrings are set-up fine (since this error report comes from the database), my portalaliases are set-up correctly and my defaultportalalias is also set-up fine.  I've done the same process with several other sites in the past with no issues whatsoever.

Am I missing something?

there might be a number of reasons, most likely there is either a (file system) permission issue or IIS web site/app Pool has been configured differently.

Cheers from Germany,
