I just discovered a few pages on which the modules (HTML for the most part) do not allow Administrators edit the content.  The Settings icon is visible but not the Pencil icon.  The site is running 7.4 DNN.

 I have looked at the page and module permissions and the Administrators have a lock icon under View Module and Edit Module.  I have searched the manuals and forums looking for clues and an understanding what the lock icon indicates; obviously, it means the permission cannot be changed but can it be hiding a deny setting?

 I have looked from the page directly and through the site Page Management panel as well as via the Permissions Settings on the pages.  Only the Super User accounts can edit the module content but I am not able to get the permissions to allow mere Administrators do the edit.

 I am sure I am missing something very basic and would appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

Thanks for the reply and pointer.  The site is a fresh install of 7.4 that was moved from my PC to the web hosting site.  My understanding was that the web hosting creatures just restored my database backup and ZIP of the site but one never knows - I certainly don't.

The entries in the Portals table for AdministratorRoleID and RegisteredRoleID are 1 and 2, respectively.  Those map to the Administrators and Registered Users in the Roles table.  This seems correct to me.

Any other idea how I could have created this rather rude situation?
