I'm in the process of moving a DNN instance from one server to another... everything came up fine... and the site is up and running... but if I try to change any of the host settings or site settings... they will not save... the screen flashes like it updated and reloaded the page.. but the setting it back to the way it was... and I've checked the database.. and sure enough the setting wasn't changed in the database.

SiteServer connection string and the credentials are fine... has anyone else experienced this issue or have any ideas?

OK... I have an update..

Playing around with this I went into the site settings for one of my sites... I deleted one of the Portal Aliases... I checked the database... and it was in fact gone. I clicked the Update button at the bottom of the Edit Site Settings page... and the Portal Alias reappeared... I checked the database and the portal alias that I deleted was there again... but it has a new PortalAliasID value...

Why in the heck would DNN be reverting the change on Update?
