I get the following error when uploading a pdf document to the documents module:

"

File Selection Warning Your file selection may not work for all users (see message below). Click 'Update' again to ignore the warning messages.

"Warning: The security permissions for the selected file do not match this module's configured view roles. The module is configured to allow viewing by role'All Users', but the file does not. For users who are not members of a role that can view the file, this document row will not be displayed. You can adjust security settings using the File Manager in the admin menu."

Updating anyway but I am unable to download the pdf doc

I have checked the permissions on the file and these are set to All Users, The module permission settings inherit from the page. I resaved these anyway, as well as the folder permissions in file manager.

Using DNN version 7.03.02 and Documents Module version 6.0.1

The module also seems unable to save a file

I seem to have sorted the problem out by deleting and then reinstalling the module

another important subject would be specifying proper permission for the upload folders in Admin > File Management.

My joy was short lived when I discovered that the module was still not functioning properly, but I found a workaround.

I added a page under admin >>admin permissions and installed the module there.

Then I configured the module and added the documents required. The I move the module to the public page. Not surprisingly the documents would not display. I then removed the permissions that came with/from the page and then enforced that the module would be visible to all users.

Definitely a permissions issue with this module in dnn7
