Hi-

Some of the PDFs we are upload through the document manager are accessible through the DNN search function, EVEN THOUGH THOSE PAGES ARE NOT PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE (require a registered user to access).

How can we lock down those files so they aren't indexed by DNN?

Version 7.2

Thanks.

you need to create folders of type "secure (file System)", this will rename the files not to be provided for direct download (using secure linkclick.aspx only)

Thanks Sebastian-

Sorry, I should have specified. Normally we would do that, but when I go to select the "Folder Type" it will only allow "Standard" (there are no other drop down menu items-- almost as if the drop down is not active).

Bill,
you cannot switch the type of existing folders, but there should be 3 option for new folders to be created:
- File system (insecure)
- secure (File System)
- secure (Database)

Again, thanks for the response.

I am afraid that isn't the case. When I create a new folder, it only offers "Standard" folder type. Here is a link to a PNG of a screenshot of the situation.
