Some extra info: this is an upgrade (from 6.2.5 through 6.2.9 to 7.3.4) The fileUpload object is created in the page its HTML, but the properties are Pascal Cased (which leads to the NewtonSoft.json.dll as Anthony describes. But as I earlier wrote, they NewtonSoft.json.dll files are the same, both having version 4.5.7.15008, the 7.3.4 packed version.)

These are the differences in output:

Clean install output:
dnn.createFileUpload({"clientId":"dnn_ctr397_View_fileUpload","moduleId":"397", etc.....

My output:
dnn.createFileUpload({"ClientId":"dnn_ctr3765_View_fileUpload","ModuleId":"3765", etc......

My guess is that there is some kind of formatter at work from some kind of ancient setting. But where...?

FIXED! The problem was indeed the newtonsoft.json.dll version. However, the version in the bin folder was the right one so it took a while to figure it out. It was also installed in the Global Assembly Cache.

So, when you experience this problem, also look in the GAC.
