Thanks for your reply.

Do you mean to add existing module (create a copy), if so it isn't saved either

If you want i can provide host account

if you can't clone the module, it sounds like an issue with the module instance itself.
Does it happen with all modules, all module instances of a single module (e.g. HTML) or just a single instance?

i seems to happen with all modules, not al single instance.

Is it posible that there could be a bug in the installation package? I followed the installation instructions, meet the requirements and that's it.

Kind regards,

Bass

I just installed a virgin copy of 7.4.1. On the generated home page I was able to move default generated modules to other panes. I did this on my workhorse laptop which has successfully operated dozens of different DNN versions. (windows 7; sql2012)

So yes. It is *possible* that there is a bug in the installation package. It is *far* more likely that your system in some way does not meet the requirements, has something else installed on it that conflicts with the DNN install, or has some setting that conflicts with the DNN install.

If you install an older version are you able to move modules? This could show it's your system environment if other versions don't work either.

Does the test I did above work or fail on your system?

You are right about Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence

But i found the solution!! In the main config file of IIS i found a role that enforce lower case url's,  after removing this role everything works perfectly again. In addition to your reply i do meet the requirement and my older dnn versions are working perfectly what makes it hard to isolate the problem (i think).

Finally my headaches disappeared

Thanks for your efforts.
