I thought this would work but somehow something's not updating.

Using this SELECT instead of INSERT INTO we get the right data:

    SELECT * FROM dbo.[ContentItems_MetaData] M JOIN
    (
    SELECT
        C.ContentItemID
        , T.TabName

    FROM dbo.[ContentItems] C
       JOIN dbo.[Tabs] T ON C.ContentItemID = T.ContentItemID
       )
        S ON (S.ContentItemID = M.ContentItemID AND M.MetaDataID = 1)

That is, this shows the right metadata after the query ran.  But I ran another template and got this for one of the tabs in the template file.  My original query attempt still picks up ' - Copy' items.

Any ideas?

Thank you, the script works.  there are some other template issues to resolve which were working before and may or may not be related but I'll put those in another thread.
