I have noticed that when one creates a page under either Admin or Host as Parents. Then decides to delete the created page it does not show in the Recycle Bin, although there is an entry for it in the database (table: Tabs) and the value for the column IsDeleted is 1 (True).

Found pages I created over a year ago and did not appear in the Recycle Bin, hence the issue is not confined to the latest version I am using 7.4.1.

I was able to delete most of the pages by changing the Parent ID to a non-Admin or Host and changed the TabPath to the corresponding Parent page i.e. //ParentPage//PageToDelete

My question is the non-ability of deleting the page by design (intentional) ?

i would understand, why a Host page doesn't show up (which doesn't have a portalID assigned), but admin pages should Show up (also in Admin > Page Management)

Thanks Sebastian for the explanation:

Both host and website pages are managed from the Admin > Page Management, on the top left hand side with a check button

I was able to delete all the pages created under the host page parent by assigning it a PortalID, (via the database table Tabs)  this will enable it to show up in the Recycle Bin and then I would delete the selected page/s.

So it seem better not to create any custom page under the Host parent, as one will not be able to delete it easily.

Pages not assigned a PortalID (value: null) will not appear in the Recycle Bin even if deleted.

FYI: I added the Recycle Bin module under Host page, and still the deleted pages created under Host parents were not visible.

it would need some programming to make Recycle Bin module be aware of the menu, it resides in.
It should be easier to display modules and pages from Host menu to host users by permission.
