I'm not sure if I'm misinterpreting this or not. My understanding is that I can name a page anything and that's how it will appear in the navigation. If I set the page url, that's what will show as the URL for the page name that I click. If that's what it's supposed to do, I can't seem to make it work.

For example:

I have named the services page on bateselec.com "services" (you'll see it in the menu). I have set the page URL to /electrical-services-dayton

I would expect that when I click on services, the page goes to www.bateselec.com/electrical-services-dayton.

Instead it goes to www.bateselec.com/services

So? What's the point of the page URL or is it just not working here?

PS: I upgraded this site from the original 7.0.6 to 7.4.1

Assuming I mis-interpreted how the page name and page url settings were supposed to work; i.e. I assumed the page url would be what showed when you clicked on the page name. It appears that instead, the page url redirects to the page name. While this might be useful, it's not what I wanted.

What I did as a workaround is create a copy of the services page named with what I want it to show up as a specific URL. I did not include this page in the navigation. I then set the services page to redirect to the new page that I created. Voila', the simple page name now redirects to a more complex URL that is more SEO friendly.

Is this overkill? I would appreciate comments.
