I need to "block" a user so that he cannot login anymore and is no more visible in the default DNN modules (if any).

I'm developing custom management modules for a customer so this is like "deleting" an user but keeping his details in my module.
I cannot user DNN built-in soft delete option because I need to retain roles associated to the user as well.

I guess that if I "manually" set the "isdeleted" flag in the DB this is not enough to obtain what I'm looking for.

Any hint?

Maybe setting him unauthorized would do what you need. It's visible in the UI. I assume there is a way to do it programmatically.

Thank you Richard.
If I'm not wrong, "unauthorized" users are still able to login? I'm not sure... anyway I don't know the api to do this, if there is no better way to block the users.

I think

objUserInfo.Membership.Approved = false;

should set the Authorization status
