Hello,

I am a newby in DNN module development and was wondering if it is possible to update a module with information from another module on the same page. I have a module with a tree control and a module with a datagrid. Clicking an item within the tree should update the datagrid. That is the datagrid should use this info, goto the database, fetch new data and update the grid control..

Other one is that I have a module with just a Mediacontrol that is only displaying a video but without the play, rev, fwd etc control. Another Module has these specially designed controls in them with which I want to control the Video in another module on the same page..

It this basic functionality? Can this be done in Asp and C# or do I need to use JavaScript for this.

What I actually want to do is to build a whole bunch of modules but they need to link to each other in some or other way and use there changed data (via some sort of event) to display other data..

Thanks

Could be DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.Communications.IModuleCommunicator that you want. That allows them to communicate server side. Else it's javascript of some kind.

Best wishes,
