I am having a problem getting the Member Directory module in DNN 7.4.0 to do what I want it to do based upon my understanding of its purpose.  When I am logged in as an administrator the module works exactly as expected, I can Show All registered users or I can show them by Group(which appears to correspond to Role) and that is exactly what happens when I look at the page.  if I select RoleA in module settings Filter, then those are the only members shown, if I look at page as an Administrator.  However, if I log in as a member of group RoleA, the module shows "Search yielded no results" and shows nothing.  If I pull the filter off and log in as a member of RoleA then All Members are shown as a RoleA user OR as an Administrator.  However, as soon as I apply the filter, the module only works for Administrative users.  It does not matter what permissions I put on the page or I inherit permissions from the page or I set the permissions for the module explicitly.  In all cases, I cannot see a Filtered  member list unless I am logged in as an administrator.  What am I doing wrong?  I cannot see any other module settings to try and I have run out of ideas.  Since the Administrative login shows the filtering as I expect, then I "think" I understand how this module is supposed to be configured.  Nonetheless, the module ONLY works as expected for Administrators.  Anyone have any other ideas on what to try?

thanks,

~a

AFAIR there have been issues reported with this module, though I am not sure, whether they are included in DNN 7.4.1 or 7.4.2
