it is really weird, according to the log, this is not performed by an active scheduler job nor by a logged in user.
I added a few more items to log configuration, hoping to get additional details.

please check that your site is not using webgardens (http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/webga...), this can result in cached entries in one worker process not being seen in another worker process (as asp.net does not synchronise cache across processes)

Cathal, I fear this is not the reason, I see eventlog items for "Tab sent to Recycle Bin", "Tab Settings Updates" and "Tab Module Deleted" - with no UserID associated
