I have been struggling for the last 2 days and have come here for some help! I have downloaded different modules such as mandeeps live articles, Engage Publish, Onytech novus and others to test out why I am not able to receive emails when approval is required when using the workflow process.  There is no notifications in the approvers accounts.  I have set up multiple accounts, one for writing an article to be approved, one for approving.  I changed the scheduler to send emails every 1 minute.  I know SMTP is set up properly because I am getting emails on the modules when there are comments made to the articles that I have published.  Some of the reading that I have done indicates that it is using different API's for the notify function as compared to emailing new registrations.  I have no problem getting the emails from new registrations and from the same modules for every function besides the "notify" function in the workflow modules.

I have some very basic programming experience and I am completely stumped.  If anybody has any ideas it would be very appreciated!

Thank you
