I've been looking to re index my search and clear all the content in DNN, as it's finding old content deleted a long time ago.

I believe the advice is to:

truncate table {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItemWordPosition
DELETE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItemWord
DELETE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchWord
DELETE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItem

however, I can't see these tables in the database, should I? I can only see the following search related tables in my db:
dbo.SearchCommonWords,
dbo.SaerchDeletedItems,
dbo.StopWords,
dbo.SearchIndexer and
dbo.SearchType

but none of the 4 tables in the above SQL script (like SearchWord and SearchItem) appear in my database?

search has been re-implemented in DNN 7.2 and search index is now stored in files, located in /app_data/search folder.
Clear the folder to force a re-index.

thanks.
Could you clarify please?

In my files (/dnndev.me/App_Data/Search/) I have about 29 files like so:
segments.gen,
segments_3cu,
_3oi.fdt,
_3oi.fdx,
_3oi.fnm,
_3oi.frq,
_3oi_2.del etc... (varying from 1k to 400k)

is it safe to delete every entry in this folder?

I deleted all the files and this cleared the search (I checked before the re-index was scheduled to run and search results was blank).

however, after the re-index was done, I see one entry at the top which works as expected, but below this  - it still seems to be listing copies of previous versions (which all go to the home page, presumably because they don't exist anymore).
