Hi there,

I'm trying to install DNN on the desktop.  I followed the 4 Part Hammond video to configure the file system & web server but when I type "www.dnndev.me" in the browser I get a blank page.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thx!

are you able to display an image in the root of the site, e.g. www.dnndev.me/favicon.ico ?
do you get content displayed if browsing www.dnndev.me/install/installwizard.aspx?

Hi,

I'm not able to display the image. When I type the address "www.dnndev.me/favicon.ico" I get the following message: "The image"http://www.dnndev.me/favicon.ico" cannot be displayed because it contains errors. However when I double click on the file it opens in my default drawing program.

When I type the following address "www.dnndev.me/install/installwizard.a... I get the following message: "XML Parsing Error: no element found, Location: http://www.dnndev.me/install/installw... Line Number 1, Column 1:"

the error sounds like the website is not configured correctly or the files are corrupted.
make sure, you unblocked the downloaded install package prior to unzipping the files contained (in file properties).
The application pool needs to run .Net 4 in integrated mode.

Hi,

This is the first time I tried to install DNN. I have followed several instructions and always get this error message: HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error. Please see if you can help. Thanks. Vic
