Anyone use Oliver's Advance Control Panel in DNN 7+?

Since I've been upgrading my DNN installation some features of OH's famous became inaccessible or not usable.

I especially miss the dark-glassed hatted spy-button to revert the impersonation operation. It isn't visible even in the DNN default skin - Gravity.

Tried to investigate the z-index of the spy button but Oliver seemed to bury the css/jQuery logic behind it by some obscure or unintelligible selectors. Web browsers' dev's tools are useless in this case as I don't know what to look for.

Anyone have an idea how to bring back this functionality? As little as the spy-button selector's class/id will do.

Oliver, are you out there? :P

My investigation shows that the impersonation cancellation class/id selectors contain the words of "Revert" and "Reset". Yet they do not show up in dev tools console on a page when in impersonate mode.

Weeeeeird.

I'm starting to develop a conspiracy theory, Oliver.

I really need to get an updated version out, I apologize for the issues. In the earlier v7 builds they changed how the control panel is injected into the page. I fixed that issue in v7.3.2 (https://github.com/dnnsoftware/Dnn.Pl...) but it requires you to add a new host setting to revert to the previous functionality.

If you're running v7.3.2+, try adding a new host setting for "AllowControlPanelToDetermineVisibility" and set it to "Y" or "True", recycle the application and then the impersonation features should start working again. Let me know if that gets things going again, or if you run into any other issues.

Oliver,

That certainly worked like a charm.

For those who'd like to take a shortcut instead of editing the DB manually (as it was suggested) below is a SQL script to be run in the DNN SQL module as seen here.

INSERT INTO
{databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}HostSettings]([SettingName],[SettingValue])
VALUES ('AllowControlPanelToDetermineVisibility','true')
GO

 Thanks again, Oliver.
