I've tried to find concrete information about this, but I'm not having much luck. I've been working on an Evoq portal and it has gone live. The search results module is working, but in addition to the valid page results, it returns old invalid URLs for the test domain, which is no longer active.

When I look at Search Engine SiteMap, the Sitemap URL is the old dev site. I've added the correct URL in Search Admin, but I don't think that changed anything.

check the scheduler in Host menu, whether search indexer is active.
You may delete content of /app_data/search folder to force a re-index.
