Dear all member!

I am moving a site off WordPress into a DNN installation. I have set up the database, unzipped the DNN install, changed the webconfig, and when I go to the install URL...nothing. I set up this new web space using the domain for LSLA.org so that when we repoint the name at it, it will propagate without a problem for DNN. I just need to install, configure and rebuild without the site being down. The site is hosted at Newtek (theSBA or whatever they call it these days).  I have been trying to figure this out and any assistance is much appreciated. I used to be able to install sites using only the IP and then repoint the domain. I cannot have the site down. Thanks. Could be an issue with IIS, maybe? The site at LSLA.org is actually running on WordPress on another server, I am just trying to redo it into a dnn site and repoint the domain after.
I am using :  http://75.103.89.10/Install/install.aspx?mode=install
http://75.103.89.10/httpdocs/Install/install.aspx?mode=install
and I get the following error:
Server Error in '/' Application.
The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

Requested URL: /httpdocs/Install/install.aspx

Thank's a lot!

using IP address will only affect default website of your server. I suggest assigning a temporary site name, e.g. new.LSLA.org or temp.LSLA.org, i.e. you need to make sure there is a cname record in the name server for this name pointing to the IP address of your server and bind your IIS website, which is going to host DNN to this "Host Header" value.
Test with a static file like an image first, to make sure, it get properly displayed, before starting to install DNN.

This sounds like an unrelated question. You should start another thread.

How is smartimage related to DNN?

Best wishes,
