Hi,

 

Can anyone help? I have a backup of my site that I want to load onto my own pc, can it be done?

sure, but you need a backup of all files and database.
You need to make sure, IIS is installed and you have access to a MS SQL Server - either remote or locally installed.

Yes, basically you need to configure your local functional iis web server and sql server then restore database/website files.

Yes - it is that easy. The most important thing is to set the permissions on the file system and database of your local PC, and to adapt the portal alias(es) in the apprpriate table.
