Hi,

I have installed DNN 4.3 on a development machine. It uses .\sqlexpress in the connection string. I have deployed to the production site and it uses sql server 2005 full. The remote site cannot see the database. What is the correct way of connecting to the database on the remote site in the connecttion string and how to import or attach the uploaded database using sql server enterprise manager. I have gotten an error with attaching and need to find another method.

Thanks in advance

Wayne

There are 2 ways of entering the connection string in dnn 4.x Please check your web.config that you changed the connectionstrings correctly. For sql 2005 you need to use the sql2000/2005 connectionstring, not the sql server 2005 express connection string

for importing you could use sql server datatransfer, or a tool like RedGate SQL compare/datacompare
