I just upgraded to DNN 07.01.02 (356) and Framework 4.0 from DNN 6.2.9
The upgrade procedure status items were all marked as Success. Firs issue: when I clicked on Edit page, a small modal window seemed to appear for a second and disappeared imediately after and no modifications were possible.
I went to Site settings and disabled the popup windows options. After that I was able to Edit the page.
Unfortunately shortly after I tried to add a module to an existing page and that is where the real problem started. The animation starts and the "Loading Modules" label appear but goes on forever without doing anything.
Is there anything I should change or tweak to add a module to a page in DNN7? Is there a new or special procedure for adding module to a page?

Any idea what to do in this case?

Did anybody else come across this same problem?

Thanks for any suggestion.

please clear local browser cache.
Also, make sure you are using correct version of jQuery and jQueryUI, if using hosted version.

Thanks for the answer Sebastian.

I emptied the local cache, emptied the DNN application cache through Host settings but the problem persists.

I've looked into the Jquery issue and these are the values appearing in my host settings:

Jquery installed version 1.9.1

installed JQuery UI version 1.10.3

Are these correct? If so, what else could it be? I was tempted to try updating to the next version (07.02.02) and see if it fixes the problem, but I don't know how wise it is to update the application when something is already not working properly.

Thanks for your help

I would compare your web.config file with release.config, to check whether all settings are migrated correctly.
Besides, you should switch to new advanced URLs (replace "humanfriendly" with "advanced" in web.config file).
You may also ( after a backup of the database) apply the fixing scripts, I am providing at http://dnnscript.codeplex.com, which will adjust issues in the database.

Thanks Sebastian, this looks promising.

I can't find a release.config in my Update package and looking it up I found out that there is no release.config file in any new update package so I downloaded the New Install package hoping to find it here but could not find it there either.

Where can I find the release.config file you mention?
