I am having an issue with one page on our site. I created the page to host a module and installed a third party module on the page. I then try to publish the page and received a generic popup message with the error "Error: An error has occurred". The popup gives me no additional information and only allows me to close it out by clicking the OK button. I deleted the third party module thinking this might be the root cause. There are now no modules/content on teh page at all but I am still getting the "An error has occurred." message when I click Publish. I am not sure why this is the case when the page is blank. I even tried adding some basic content (in an existing container) and it still gives this error. Any idea why the error is showing up and why the page cannot be published?

No other page on the site has given me this issue. In fact, I installed the original module on another page without an issue and can publish that page. So I do not think it is the third party module that caused the issue. The module is an approved vendor with compatibility for EVOQ 8 which we are running. I cannot discard changes on the page either. It renders the same error. I do need this page as it is a parent page for other pages and deleting it will cause issues. What could cause this problem?

Without more details from the Event Viewer it is difficult to say what is happening. As an Evoq customer, I recommend getting those details together (from the Event Viewer as a super user/host) and then submitting a support ticket so they can help you resolve the problem in a timely manner.

There are no details in the Event Viewer for this issue. None at all pertaining to not being able to publish the page or even about the page itself. It is as if the error is not even reaching the Event Viewer. Very strange.

please be aware, that modules in the recycle bin might get evaluated as well, make sure to clear the bin and restart DNN, before trying again.

Thanks. I ended up moving all the sub page under another page and deleting the offending page. I then deleted from the recycle bin and renamed the new page like the old one. It seems to be working now. Just a strange issue with no log trail which is odd. I was also able to install all the modules that the old page had on it with no issues so it was not caused by one of the modules we installed on the page. I suppose it will remain a mystery!!
