The version of jQuery that DNN uses, 1.9.1 was released in January of 2013. 3 years ago. What the heck? Why are we so far behind?

So tired of seeing pointless errors like this, that were fixed years ago, in the Firefox console: Use of getPreventDefault() is deprecated.  Use defaultPrevented instead.

What's the plan for an update?

David,
did you open an issue on support.dnnsoftware.com?
Without, I don't expect any upgrade to happen.

Chris,
I fear, this is connected to licensing, i.e. not just driven by a pull request on github.

You think that DNN won't go to a newer version of jQuery due to a licensing issue? Did jQuery's license change?
