we are trying to move a DNN site to a new server.

It may be an old installation DNN 5.1.1, but we are trying to move it before upgrading it.

It used to be on a windows 2003 server and is moving to a windows 2008 server with IIS7.

It also used to be stored inside a folder of another DNN site and ran off a virtual directory in IIS 6. So the portal domain name was:

www.sypensions.org.uk/ourDNN5_1site

- Now we are giving it, it's own IP. And it's going to be a subdomain:

ourDNN5_1site.sypensions.org.uk

I have added the new subdomain as a portal alias.

Our error is this:

Security Exception
Description: The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy. To grant this application the required permission please contact your system administrator or change the application's trust level in the configuration file.

Exception Details: System.Security.SecurityException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Web.AspNetHostingPermission, System, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b7xxxxxx' failed.

Q. Do I have to do anything with the machine config /machinekey / PublicKeyToken?
Q. Can I copy the web.config exactly and expect it to work ok?

this is fixed now.

the problem was - when I zipped up the files and transferred them to the new server - they were blocked when I unzipped them and therefore not trusted.
