Thank you Chris. Does this mean that the templates Joe Brinkman published before are now obsolete? I know you guys worked together on this.

I wouldn't say the are obsolete, but I will say that my templates have been updated more recently, and I've built modules with them so I know that they work :D

Thanks, Chris.

In the video, I noticed that when you create a new project, there is a mvc module for choosing:

"DotNeNuke 8 C#DAL2 MVC Module"

I can't find it in my VS2015.   I searched but did not find where we can download and install this mvc module template.

Can you please provide the link for this template downloading?

By the way,  for answering your question:

Yes, i do create the project in:  /desktopmodules/mvc/ModuleName?

Thanks, Joe.

I used the MVC module downloaded at: http://dnn.ly/DNN8-Templates, which was provided in the webnair on Jan 14.

And I created the module under folder:   desktopmodules/mvc

(the full path is like:  C:\website\dnndev.me\DesktopModules\MVC\TestModuleName?

Under this folder, it does contain a file: web.config.  While we I create a new project, this file is not included in the project.

I mean we will not see this file in the solution explorer windows.

If there is any suggestion or idea about this, please help.

Thanks again.

Thanks again, Chris.

Actually, in this video, there is not MVC module templates, it shows the same kind of modules types in my VS2015.

I also tried to download from the link you provided and install it , and still there is not mvc module availabe.

Currently, in the VS2015, it shows modules below:

. DotNetNuke 7 C# Compiled Module;

.DotNetNuke 7 C# Compilied Theme;

.NotNetNuke 7 C# DAL2 Compilied Module;

.DotNetNuke 8 C# DAL2 SPA Module.

I am still looking for the 'DotNetNuke 8 C# DAL2 MVC Module' which shows  up in the first video you provided.

Can you please tell how can I get this one?
