I am running version 07.04.02.  I am exploring site alias behaviors:

  1. I have set "Site Alias Mapping Mode" to None and "Auto Add Site Alias" is not enabled.
  2. The Primary site alias is set to  for example www.abc.com.
  3. I have re-started the web site and cleared all cookies and history from the browser cache.
  4. If I try to navigate to abc.com I get redirected to www.abc.com (despite the settings above).
  5. Running Fiddler shows a response header "X-Redirect-Reason: Wrong Portal Alias Requested".

It looks like the Url mapper is redirecting abc.com to www.abc.com by default?

I omitted to write that Fiddler shows a 301 redirect is taking place from abc.com to www.abc.com.
