you should be able to restart the application pool to bring back the site.
Please check Site settings in Admin menu when switching to the new language and re-save it.

Hi, thanks for your response

I restarted the pool but no effect,  i investigated more about this issue and i resolved following exactly this steps:

1 - Admin - languages - add language "català"
2 - Go directly to menu admin - site config and press "update" button to save site settings
3 - Click in the flag "Català" and press another time "update" to save site settings
4 - Change the default language  to "Catalá" in admin - languages - tab "Configuration"

 regards

It looks like there had been issues retrieving language specific site settings - although we tried to implement all possible fallbacks.
I am glad, you were able to solve it, have fun using DNN ;))
