I've enlarged the logo of my website. Saved it with a new name, uploaded it, and selected it in de admin-section.
It shows in Edit-mode, but in one strange way, it doesn't when I log out and see the site like visitors would.

I've restarted, tried CTRL-F5, but it won't change. What could be the cause?

Btw, now checking: I see this in Chrome, but not in Firefox. In Firefox I see the new logo in both Edit- and normal mode.

Joost,

this sounds strange, first I thought the folder containing the logo could be in a folder that allows only registered users - but this can not be the reason as it works in Chrome. What happens when you enter the Url of the logo file (eg. http://www.mydomain.com/Portals/0/images/logo.png)? Is it displayed then?

You could also try clearing the server side cache by using the Tools menu and/or restarting the AppPool.

Happy DNNing!
Michael

Thanks for your reaction Michael.
The enlarged logo is displayed when I enter the URL directly in the browser. In Chrome as well as in Firefox.
I've also tried clearing the cache and restarting the AppPool in the Tools menu. Both didn't change anything.

So strange:
when logged out, the HTML of the logo shows:
<img id="dnn_dnnLOGO_imgLogo" src="/Portals/0/Images/logo.gif?ver=2016-03-10-133346-433" alt="mytext">

when logged in, the HTML of the logo shows:
<img id="dnn_dnnLOGO_imgLogo" src="/Portals/0/Images/logo_pfname480.jpg?ver=2016-03-11-170303-213" alt="mytext">

Well the problem is that the two different conditions are serving up different files. I have no idea why it might be browser dependent, nor why it would be login status dependent.

Is your site using the standard logo skin object? /you might try switching to use one of the standard supplied skins. Does that show the same behaviour?

Best wishes,

Joost,

is the site multilingual? If yes: Did you change the logo for all languages?

Happy DNNing!
