hi

i am running DNN 3.3.2 with SQL 2005.. the site is extremely slow at times and normal at other times... initially i thought that it might be S/w issue but when i saw the perf counters i saw the following:

1. % disk time: mostly above 100% and sometimes around 3000 (wird!!!)

2. Pages/ sec: around 700 and as high as 1100

3. Average disk queue: 500 or more

rest of the counters for memory (more than 80 MB available memory), processor and network are alright. sometimes i even get SqlException in event log due to time outs.

does this indicate bad hard disk that needs to be replaced or something else?

regards

Abhishek
