With regard to Security Roles in DNN, is it possible to create a role that would allow users to be able to, for example, add a new announcement, but not delete it?

Is "Edit" an all or nothing security setting?

This granularity is possible but generally it's a matter of the module in question, rather than the framework as a whole.

Okay, how do I find out which modules the granularity is possible for?  Can it go by page?  Where/How do I get the level of permissions that I'm looking for?

You'll need to do extensive research to make the best selections.  If you have a specific application in mind, oftentimes posting to the forums here for suggestions will help you get started more quickly.

I am looking for granularity in the core modules.  For example, if I create a page for our HR department, I would want to give certain people within HR the ability to add/edit new announcements, but not delete them.

Is this possible within DNN?  I'm currently using 3.2.2, but am willing to upgrade if necessary to get this functionality.  I'm looking for this functionality in all the core modules.

Also, is this same granularity available per page.  For example, give someone the permissions to modify, but not delete?  Or even just ADD, but not Edit or Delete?
