It would be a shame if that ended up in Evoq only...

I recognize that there are a lot of "forms" modules out there, but each are a little worrisome to use: some might not be there tomorrow; some are very dated; and most ignore the DNN "model" in various ways. Also, so many DNN modules just perform basic forms tasks that could be accomplished with a simple data store and a list: Links, Repository, Blog, F&L, etc. The closest I've found to it is 2sxc, which is great and really powerful, but it often feels like a separate CMS running on DNN. 2sxc also doesn't have easily customizable forms, which limits some things.

DCC was one of those coming changes that has really kept me interested and engaged with DNN. DNN's content model of apps/modules is really nice and it helps it stand out among a lot of CMSs, but it has long needed something like DCC to let admins provide greater structure to the types of content users can create and manage. Without that, DNN becomes increasingly less useful in the sea of competitors. So, personally, I really hope they don't drop that idea or move it to Evoq.
