Hopefully I'm missing something obvious!

I have created a few new pages that I would like only registered subscribers to be able to see. I am setting up a demo of new skin for a preview of an update I plan to undertake to our current site for the owners of the company and am building new pages alongside the current ones.  I am on version 07.04.01.

In Admin>User Accounts, I created a username >manage roles for user > added "Registered Users" > update user role.  I authorized the user.

I am trying to set the permission as below but when I log in the user there is no access to the page.  I think I'm missing something simple, please help...thank you!

do not deny permission, they are overruling grants.

just grant view permission to "registered users" and leave all other (unlocked) checkboxes clear.
