In DNN when you send a reset password link you don't get informed if you've entered an invalid username. I understand this is by design with the argument of security so hackers don't get information about usernames.

On the other hand there are CMS which do provide this information.

What's your opinion on the subject and should it be an option within DNN to provide or don't provide this information?

If it's allready a setting I would be very happy;-)

you should be able to provide the username as well in the mail (using language editor).
the other option would be switching to use email for login instead of user name.

Hi Sebastian,

The question if the user enters a username in the password reset link, DNN provides no feedback if the username is correct or not. There is no option to retrieve your username.

ideally the reset option should allow for email address as well, please log this enhancement request into the public issue tracker at support.dnnsoftware.com, thank you.
