Just found an item in Gemini about this problem.

The comment:
" Yes - this is unfortunate but this is due to the changes to make the editor more WYSIWYG"

I think it's nice if the editor becomes more WYSIWYG, but the introduced "feature" is very annoying (WYSIWYG: black background with black text....?)
You have to install the latest update because of the security issues in previous versions.
This also means everybody with a coloured background has to open all skin.css files and change them.

And what about people who bought a skin and have no CSS/HTML knowledge?

I think this minor change (introducing a second <BODY> tag on the page) can have big consequences for some DNN users.

I have a lot of respect for all the people programming DNN, but I think this "change" has a bigger impact then expected.
You could risk people not installing the updates because of problems like this....

Solution in my opinon:
1A. A <BODY>/Iframe - less solution that impoves WYSIWYG

OR

2A. The Editors Iframe <BODY> tag gets an ID="TextEditor"
2B. Something about this in the documentation.
2C. Standard Portal.css would have the right selector in it.
(it's just "body" now, not "#body")

I agree with Timo on this one.  I think the side effects far outweight the usefulness of the WYSIWYG editor.

Just my Two Cents,

Stuart

Switch over to FCK. good idee maybe, but all my users ara affected when changing the default provider. Is there a way to choose the editot on a user basis?

No, the provider is selected for all portals and users like module versions. But I cannot imagine a single user complaining - though you might improve its usability by specific setup per portal/module/instance. Using FCK you can even get WYSIWYG editing.

Hello

I posted a background colour tip in DNN Creative yesterday, which seems to work in FckEditor:  http://www.dnncreative.com/Forum/tabid/88/forumid/12/postid/1617/view/topic/Default.aspx

body {background: #0D1D43; text-align: center;  height:95%;}
#__dnn_body{background:#fff;}
