hi,

After moving my dnn app from old one folder to a new folder at the same site and the same server, I have unexpected and unwanted redirection to an old folder which in fact not exists. In old location I had installed dnn app at folder /app/. There was mapped two domains: mydomain.net with url mydomain.net/app/ and info.otherdomain.pl. After few months I decided to abandon domain .pl and to move the app to root folder at the same site (/). I removed old site aliases to /app folder and mapped site to domain www.mydomain.net. Now, the app in domain www.mydomain.net works perfectly but when I try to navigate to mydomain.net, instead of navigating to www.mydomain.net it redirects me to an old location in /app folder which not exists.

How can I configure the site to properly set redirection from mydomain.net to www.mydomain.net?

Please help.

I assume that you recycled the app pool after all actions you performed.
Next idea would be to check the DNS records if you have them set up correctly.
If above fails try the rewrite rules / redirection either on IIS or specific modules found on the forge or codeplex.

Should all of this fail check the EventLogs/ServerLogs for errors and report back. Maybe there'll be a hint where to look.

On the side note AFAIK it's not recommended to install DNN in a non-root folder.

please check Website Aliases in Admin > Sitesettings (or in the database table PortalAlias) and make sure, those marked as primary do exist.

hi, thank You for feedback.
I have in "Site Aliases" and in table PortalAlias two records:
www.mydomain.net
mydomain.net
and the first one is primary.
I have mapped to dnn site two domains: mydomain.net and www.mydomain.net.
What do You mean at "and make sure, those marked as primary do exist"?
