I too have been having this error - anyone any idea what could be causing it?

the method that throws the error is:

System.IO.Path.NormalizePathFast

It does this five times in my case two times as in the original post and 3 times with the following message:

System.IO.PathTooLongException: The specified path, file name, or both are too long. The fully qualified file name must be less than 260 characters, and the directory name must be less than 248 characters. at System.IO.Path.NormalizePathFast(String path, Boolean fullCheck) at System.IO.Path.GetFullPathInternal(String path) at System.Security.Util.StringExpressionSet.CanonicalizePath(String path, Boolean needFullPath) at System.Security.Util.StringExpressionSet.CreateListFromExpressions(String[] str, Boolean needFullPath) at System.Security.Permissions.FileIOPermission.AddPathList(FileIOPermissionAccess access, AccessControlActions control, String[] pathListOrig, Boolean checkForDuplicates, Boolean needFullPath, Boolean copyPathList) at System.Web.InternalSecurityPermissions.PathDiscovery(String path) at System.Web.Caching.CacheDependency.Init(Boolean isPublic, String[] filenamesArg, String[] cachekeysArg, CacheDependency dependency, DateTime utcStart) at System.Web.Caching.CacheDependency..ctor(String filename, DateTime start) at System.Web.Caching.CacheDependency..ctor(String filename) at DotNetNuke.Services.Cache.FileBasedCachingProvider.FBCachingProvider.Insert(String CacheKey, Object objObject, Boolean PersistAppRestart) at DotNetNuke.Framework.Reflection.CreateObject(String TypeName, String CacheKey, Boolean UseCache)

Hi

I just started using Store Module which comes with the latest download of DNN and receiving the exact same error when checking out.  Does anyone has a resolution for this?

What are the URLs of your stores?  It looks like a problem with the length of the path, perhaps this can be reduced?

Hi Allan,

I'm currently developing on my website and looking for possible solutions for e-commerce.  I was testing your module when I got his error.  I double check the URLs and its under 256 char.  Example of one URL with out actual showing the actual site.
