Hello,

Am trying to install DNN 8 on Window 7 64 bit box and have followed the setup steps in the documentation center. I downloaded and extracted the files, setup IIS and set up MS SQL Server 2012. I am now at the installation wizard step where it says to enter http://www.dnndev.me in the browser and all I get is:

I don't think it's the installation wizard. Please help!

Thanks,

Ripper

Recheck your IIS setup. I think you have missed setting up the site bindings. That's why you see the IIS welcome page.

if you bound the correct site, you may need to check default document as well, which should contain default.aspx in first position.

Richard was correct. Corrected the bindings, then had trouble with installer looking for .NET 4.0. Changed app pool and I'm on my way. Thank you!

I corrected the bindings but then the install wizard erred looking for .NET 4.0 so I changed the application pool and I was on my way. In fooling around with editing pages and adding content, I managed to empty the home page of everything. I am trying to find and add the module that is automatically included when I 'add new page', but can't find one. I just have a blank layout on the home page now:

How do I get a module with the editor where I can add content?

Thanks,

Rip
