Hello,

I have recently inherited the management of a DNN site. I am in the process of moving the site and database to a new server. I have it functioning for the most part after changing the web.config files and can get to the site when entering in the non-FQDN, but as soon as I type the FQDN for the site, it redirects me to an incorrect URL.

To my knowledge this was occurring before the move. I cant seem to find the configuration file that controls this. I am not even sure where to see the version of DNN the site is for that matter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you need to make sure, the new domain name is stored in PortalAlias table in the database (for each website in the DNN installation - if redirecting or multiple languages are used, this alias needs to be the one marked as primary in general or for this language).

Awesome! Thank you for the reply! That did fix my initial issue. It has led me to a follow up question though. I recently enabled SSL and I only have the FQDN as a SAN for the certificate as I am getting it from a wild card certificate. When I go to the site as the FQDN it redirects it to the alias which is not a SAN for the certificate. Is there a way to prevent this?

Thanks
