Well, as a project leader of the blog sub project, I think it's on me to start this project with posting the first thread into this forum.

Before I write some information about the sub project, I would like to introduce myself shortly.

My Name is Hans-Peter Schelian, I work with DotNetNuke since Version 1.X.
My native language is German, and therefore the one or the other mistake will probably be contained in my English messages.
Therefore I would like beforehand to apologize for that.

But now what is more of interest!

The blog sub project is based on the NewBlog module which has been used from a lot of people in the past few month.

If you have any suggestion, how we can make a more better blogging tool, please post your suggestion to this forum.
I'm sure we are not able to take care of all of your suggestions, but we will try to do our best.

So far for now, I hope we have a successful blog project.

Best regards
Hans-Peter Schelian

Rick ~

At present, blogs are associated with UserId so its not possible to have a blog without being logged in.  Sounds like you are really looking for somewhat different functionality, almost like a guestbook?

We do have as an enhancement request to be able to create blogs that are not tied 1:1 to users... this would allow for "subject" related blogs, even blogs with multiple users (which would, I guess, work for what you have in mind).

Right now, we're working on the next generation of the module which will bring it into line with DotNetNuke requirements from a DB, Namespace, perspective, etc.  Once we have a clean migration there, you'll see a new release and planning for the next wave of enhancements.

Cheers,

Scott

Something I would like to see is supprt for RSS 2.0.  The obvious reason for RSS 2 is that the blog can become an instant Podcast, too. You know, while we are at it, we can add support for iTunes' Podcast tags, too.
