While at it, you might want to replace that script with the newer Google Universal Analytics. The old script is outdated and being phased out by Google. See script here.

Please note: Modifying the file SiteAnalytics.config and replacing the [TRACKING_ID] placeholder only works for single-portal instances, because SiteAnalytics.config is not portal-specific and DNN expects the [TRACKING_ID] placeholder. When rendering a site, DNN replaces this placeholder with the Google Property ID of the current portal.

And yes, migrating to Google Universal Analytics makes sense. This is also something our module supports with just one click (but this is a commercial feature).

I was able to put together a solution for DNN 9.x that works multi-portal by piecing together steps from a couple different blogs. The solution is listed on Stack Overflow here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/1...
